Customer Experience Relationship Manager, SNG

WASHINGTON, DC

Scoop News Group is the leading public sector tech media company in the country and is headquartered in Washington, DC. We are seeking an experienced and talented Customer Experience Relationship Manager to work out of our beautiful downtown DC office. This individual will work on our Customer Experience team and report to the SVP of Customer Experience (CX).

As our Customer Experience Relationship Manager, you will:
  • Provide a customer experience environment which ensures long-term, lasting relationships with our clients.
  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with our Sales, Events, Operations and Content Marketing teams to ensure client projects are delivered on time and on schedule.
  • Manage internal, company-wide projects, acting as liaison between our company's teams, from point-of-sale to execution.
  • Ensure all client project obligations are met and project outcomes are reported.
  • Participate on client project calls and work collaboratively across internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Improve processes, communication, outcomes, and productivity across the organization.
  • Provide a future roadmap for increased account activity to internal sales team and clients.
A successful candidate will have these desired skills and experience (though all not required to apply):
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written) with a positive attitude!
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and get the job done.
  • Experience in managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven workplace.
  • Ability to multi-task required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all levels.
  • Ability to interface with and handle sensitive manners with all levels.

U.S. Defense and Intelligence Technology Reporter, FedScoop

FedScoop seeks an experienced technology reporter to lead its coverage of the American defense and intelligence agencies, and their acquisition and use of IT to protect the nation from foreign threats.

The ideal candidate is an innovative, enterprising and relationship-oriented digital storyteller whose curiosities take them beyond the typical news cycle to sniff out what’s really going on behind the scenes at the Pentagon, in the IC and with the contractor base that supports them.

As Defense and Intelligence Technology Reporter you'll:
  • Lead FedScoop’s coverage of top defense and intel IT matters;
  • Write stories — from short hits on personnel changes and acquisition plans to in-depth investigative features — that are sent in a daily newsletter to 100,000+ subscribers;
  • Extend the readership of your stories with SEO-friendly headlines, social media promotion and other audience engagement best practices;
  • Contribute to long-term special editorial projects that impact the IT community governmentwide;
  • Build community around the FedScoop brand by participating in events, moderating panels, developing an expertise in your subject matter and more; and
  • Work with the Scoop News Group team to create multimedia content for FedScoop, FedScoop TV and FedScoop Radio.
Qualified applicants, at a minimum, have:
  • Six years of professional daily journalism experience as a reporter or editor;
  • Familiarity with technology and experience reporting on defense and intelligence agencies;
  • A bachelor's degree in journalism, preferably online/new media concentration;
  • Strong communications and organization skills;
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude with strong problem-solving ability;
  • The willingness to work collaboratively with a team and independently as required;
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, AP Style and social media; and

Reporter/Editor, CyberScoop

The Job
The Reporter/Editor is expected to assign, write and edit stories for CyberScoop. He or she must possess the skills to guide stories from the brainstorming process to final publication and beyond. This position will also assist with event content.

Responsibilities:
  • Report, write and edit stories that cover cybersecurity, technology policy, data protection, digital espionage and a variety of related topics.
  • Use and/or develop sources, documents and other journalistic tools to develop, report, and write stories on these topics.
  • Fact-check political, government and business leaders on these topics.
  • Conceive of and deliver well-crafted, compelling stories that are overlooked by bigger mainstream publications.
  • Help edit, guide, mentor and collaborate with other members of Scoop News Group's editorial team.
  • Craft content for, participate in and cover SNG events.
  • Shape our content for podcast and video outlets.
  • Adhere to the employee policies and procedures of SNG.
CyberScoop is looking for someone who has the following:
